I joined this site called 'Dietbet', where you pay money to join and say, "I can lose this much weight," and the site responds by saying, "Prove it. If you can, you can win your money back."
Thus far, this has proven to be only partially true. I put in $35 and I've only won back $23.10. So, I'm losing money on this deal.
Nevertheless, I am going to proceed forward--maybe near the end the money will increase with more people failing at their goals. Assuming I meet mine. Ha.
Thing is, the goal required is still about 40 lbs off of what I want to lose. If I hit my target, I will have lost 83 lbs.
It's fascinating to me that people will post pictures of what they look like after one month. After one month, even losing 20 lbs, if you're in my weight category you still look like crap. Yet, there's all these overweight women--because no men are posting--posting their pictures, looking for compliments I guess?
I want to post, "You still look like a tub of lard. Keep at it!" I don't look any better. But that's why I'm not posting.
Posting what they're eating...again, ridiculous. The food looks like crap, probably tastes like crap but they're posting, "Ooooh sooo good! I love feeling healthy!" Yeah, that's a load of BS. But, I'm more of a, do a lot of exercise, watch your calorie count and eat whatever. That's all I did for the first month and ten pounds wast shed.
Now it is time for month 2 serious mode. Where I jog and do other cardio. Eating peppers just to sweat. Eating less calories than the month previous.
And if I win...well, I get a few days to stuff my face with whatever, knowing I have to get back to work.
In this one instance, verbal bullying I think is more help than positive reinforcement.
